Terms & Conditions

The most important conditions are summarized on the relevent pages where you have to give input. For normal use this should be sufficient. If you have any specific question or if you are looking for the full overview: please read further.

You as the JOTA-JOTI weblog user will:

1. Keep your password to the weblog for yourself; it is allowed to have other members of your group to change the content under your responsibility.
2. Only material related to this year's JOTA-JOTI will be submitted by you. Material should not be offensive to others. Material should be copright free. Material should not contain advertisements, promotions or any other commercial information. Material should not contain viruses, worms or other potentially damaging software.
3. In case material is published as under 2. the weblog will be disabled and the account will be stopped. This to the judgement of the international JOTA-JOTI project team.
4. A group is only allowed to open 1 weblog per year; also if you participate(d) in both JOTA & JOTI.
5. Material published by you on the site is free from copyright. This is important because the weblogs will be printed in large volume on DVD. You are personally responsible for what you submit. If you use your own photos, text and movies and do not copy parts of professional music, movie, books and photos you cannot go wrong. You are allowed to copy audiovisual material from local television/radio broadcasts or newspaper articles in which your group is featuring, unless it was explicitly mentioned that it was not allowed.
6. You allow the International JOTA-JOTI Project Team to print your material on DVD and distribute this without commercial interest. The copyright of your material will be owned by the International JOTA-JOTI Project Team. The material can be used by all members of the WOSM and WAGGGS scouts and guides associations for non-commercial use.

We as service provider will:

1. will not publish your e-mail address or other personal address details on a website or on the DVD, unless you have entered these details in general text fields.
2. use your e-mail address only for correspondence regarding this website. We will not give/sell your e-mail address to anyone. Only exception is the national JOTA-JOTI organisation of your WOSM scout/guide association in case they want to get in touch with you.
